There is something patently insane about all the typewriters sleeping with all the beautiful plumbing in the beautiful office buildings — and all the people sleeping in the slums.

TCEQ OK'D NATIONAL NUCLEAR WASTE DUMP IN ANDREWS COUNTY

The general public has right to petition the TCEQ to voice opposition to nuclear waste flowing to Texas. Technically it is low-level waste, and mine tailings. It also is allowed to take "exempted" material. For example, WCS recently accepted several thousand shipments of weapons waste from Fernald Ohio.

The nuke dump also recently was cited for leaking plutonium.

Located above the Oglalla aquifer, the dump sits on a 100-year flood plain that drains into the Pecos River - a tributary of the Rio Grande.
